The webmaster visited Heiseikan, Tokyo National Museum to appreciate NATIONAL TREASURE: FROLICKING ANIMALS, medieval scroll painting. Amazingly, the work was drawn long before "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" was published in 1902. She has thought that the animals depicted in such art work are the origin of numerous Japanese animated characters and yuru-chara mascots.
